Sea Survival Course.

To provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to assist in their survival in the event of an emergency offshore with the proper use of available emergency equipment.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Course module is guidelines set with IMO/STCW95, UKOOA, OPITO and OGP. By the end of one day program, participants will have an understanding and a through knowledge of the following:

  • Launch and inflate a life-raft
  • Re-right and broad a life-raft unassisted
  • Life-raft management techniques
  • Life-raft emergency  equipment and usage
  • Basic injury survival techniques in open water.
  • Basic  injury management
  • Jumping/Swing Rope Exercise

 

COMPETENCY

All participants must demonstrate the ability to re-right a life-raft unassisted, and complete a questionnaire in order to pass the course.

 

METHOD OF TRAINING

This course is conducted in two phases. An initial phase is a half day theory course covering all aspects of the life-raft and survival at sea.
These classroom training utilities demonstrations of all equipment and discussion on the uses and method of use of the emergency equipment, video and LCD presentation to assist. The second phase is an entirely practical training section conducted a water environment where all participants are required to practice and demonstrate the application of all techniques learned in both sessions.

 

TEXT AND PRESENTATION

The course notes had been set up for English and Bahasa manual.

 

PRE-REQUISITES

Participants must shows healthy condition, however our medical doctor will check the participants condition prior to commence the training course.

 

COURSE DURATION

This course is conducted in one (1) day:

  • Minimum participants 10 people
  • Maximum participants 16 people
